Journal Article Review Comparison of OCTA Scan Times of the SPECTRALIS OCT2 Module vs. the SPECTRALIS with SHIFT Technology

In this study, the Kellogg Eye Center analyzed whether OCTA scan time could be accelerated using the SPECTRALIS OCTA Module with SHIFT technology at an A-Scan rate of 85 kHz and 125 kHz compared to the SPECTRALIS OCT2 and OCTA Modules at 85 kHz.

Journal Article Review Internal limiting membrane detachment in acute central retinal artery occlusion: a novel prognostic sign seen on OCT

In a recent article, Venkatesh et al. present a series of cases of acute central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO) where internal limiting membrane detachment (ILMD) is present on OCT and describe possible prognostic implications.

Journal Article Review Valsalva retinopathy and CrossFit training

Valsalva hemorrhagic retinopathy (VR) is characterized typically by a sudden macular hemorrhage
due to the rupture of superficial retinal capillaries after an acute increase in thoracic or abdominal
pressure. This article describes a case of VR related to CrossFit training.

Journal Article Review New OCT technology shortens examination time without sacrificing quality

Study shows time savings of close to 25% with SPECTRALIS OCT2 Module.

Study Conducted by Tim Steffens, University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor, MI, USA.

Journal Article Review Optical Coherence Tomography 2

The authors of this study investigated the clinical feasibility of using WF OCT together with the OCT2 Module, along with its potential benefits in the evaluation of peripheral vitreoretinal pathologies.
